"'Ask, and it will be given to you.'" Matthew 7:7 (NRSV)
This passage is sometimes used by Fundamentalist Christians to imply that God will give you anything you want.
Like money, a new car, or a house.
This is manifestly untrue.
Fundamentalist Christians also say that you should not ask questions - doubt is wicked.
But I would suggest that the above passage from Matthew could be interpreted to mean: ask questions and answers will be given to you.
This is consistent with my experience.
So don't be afraid to ask questions in prayer.
You may just receive answers.
