Many seekers assume that our souls are in our heads - a kind of consciousness.
This is because our eyes are in our heads.
And we have been trained from childhood to identify with our minds.
But, as Eastern meditation practices will show, our selves, or our souls, are not our thoughts.
Our souls, or Divine Sparks, are in our hearts.
This is the part of us which loves.
And seeks God.
To realize the union of Lover and Beloved.
