From childhood we learn to fear.
We have all been abused.
This makes us defensive, cynical, and insular.
We are afraid of being hurt or humiliated.
We are terrified of ridicule.
So we bury our true selves under a mask of strength or gaiety.
And all this takes place on an unconscious level so that we are unaware of what is happening.
But contact with the real God makes us lose our fear.
We open our hearts and blossom like a flower.
We see others' needs.
And thus begin the endeavors of love.
Our job is to do all the things that no one did for us until we met the Living God.
To love.
To show mercy.
To forgive.
To care.
To help.
To comfort.
To give.
To go out into the world with a motivation of love.
To do all the things that the the benevolent God has taught us.
These are the endeavors of love.
