Counter-Revolution.

The counter-revolutionary movement of the 1980s led by Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan and enforced by Generation X was pure evil.

It sought to wipe out the idealism and pacifism of the 1960s and 1970s by intimidation and violence.

Verbal, emotional, and spiritual violence used by Generation X and their political leaders forced the reconstruction of the Baby-Boomers.

And Satanic rock stars whipped it up - "Show no Mercy", "Don't Have No Hippy Chicks", "Kick".....

And we're still there.

All that is left is expensive holidays, shopping, and sports.

We are distracted and disgraced.

But the Baby-Boomers are innocent.

There is nothing wrong with peace and love.

There is nothing wrong with Socialism.

What is evil is the counter-revolutionary forces which reconstructed them.

So turn to God and be justified.

Drugs.

It was a set-up from the beginning.

Satanic rock bands in the 1960s pushed drugs as a method of enlightenment.

In this they were following Aleister Crowley - an early 20th Century black magician and Satanist - who used drugs and Yoga to develop special powers.

But this was sabotage - "White Light/White Heat", "Blinded by the Light", "Beauty and the Beast", "It's No Game", "Shock the Monkey" etc. - were designed to cause psychic accidents which would result in damnation by religious powers.

Whole generations were condemned to spiritual oblivion by their rock legends.

And they're still there.

But the Hippies were innocent.

We were deliberately led astray and condemned by Satanic rock bands.

So pray to God.

He will deliver you and heal you.

God's Love.

God loves gays.

The hate is on the other side.

And hate is anti-God.

Homosexuality is Love.

And sex is Life.

So keep on loving.

And turn for Home.

Gay People.

When we are dealing with controversial issues like gay marriage it is easy to lose sight of the fact that we are talking about people.

Abstract theological doctrines and social labels dehumanize the debate.

While prejudice and fear inspire a knee-jerk reaction which is irrational and abusive.

But gay people are human beings like anyone else.

We have feelings, and fears, and aspirations like you.

We are not robots, or satyrs, or devils.

We are people.

Just like you.

Catastrophe.

Early in the 1980s an Indian Guru said to me: "A great catastrophe is about to befall humanity."

That catastrophe was represented astrologically by the transit of the planet Pluto through its own sign of Scorpio (1984-1995).

This represents raw power and force.

And it was realized through the negative application of the high-powered imaginative energy source of Generation X.

Satanic rock bands ensured that this energy was manifested negatively.

And the negative aspects of Pluto in Scorpio are: violence, intimidation, hate, force, vindictiveness, retaliation, horror, corruption, and evil.

It was mercenary, anti-religious, and dark.

It was accompanied by the AIDS Pandemic and the exposure of child sex abuse in the Churches.

And that was our curse.

The catastrophe was that they won.

And we are still experiencing the consequences.

So the time has come to expose this black curse for what it is.

A social and spiritual catastrophe.

Economic Advancement.

In our modern world anything can be justified by economic advancement.

If it makes the stock market rise it is good.
Whether we like it or not.

So social safety-nets, young people's wages and conditions, workers rights, standards of education and health care are all sacrificed to the ultimate god of economic advancement.

The fact that these economic advantages only benefit the rich seems not to matter.

All regulation is bad, even if it protects public safety.
Taxes should always be cut because the rich hate taxes.

So, despite the fact that rich corporations pay no tax, there is no longer enough revenue to supply basic services let alone despised welfare.

How long will people put up with this?

Our governments have betrayed us.

And they lie to us about everything.

Why?

So why have the Churches preached that God is our judge and that He reserves punishment for our sins?

The surprising answer is that they do not know God.

But why?

They are trained to adhere to a strict Orthodoxy.

Their motivation may be suspect.

They identify with the establishment.

They have a negative view of humanity.

It is more about the needs of the institution than the needs of the community,

God says of them: "The shepherds also have no understanding, they have all turned to their own gain, one and all."  Isaiah 56:11 (NRSV)

But you won't hear that preached in church.

Jesus said of them: "you did not enter yourselves, and you hindered those who were entering."  Luke 11:52 (NRSV)

"Righteous Father, the world does not know you, but I know you, and these know you that you have sent me."  John 17:25 (NRSV)

So don't believe in the Church's punitive, retributive God.

He does not exist.

The reality is much better.

This is good news.

So go into your room and close the door.

Pray to God with a sincere heart.

And He will answer.

The Real Thing.

When at last we experience something of the spiritual we are surprised to find that it does not resemble traditional notions.

The real thing is beautiful, sublime, wholly good, merciful, forgiving.....

There is no harshness, no hardness, no punishment, no judgement.

Only help, consideration, and Love.

Distracted and Deceived.

We are distracted and deceived.

Sports, shopping, must see T.V., holidays, celebrities, movies, music.....

We are too busy to care.

We are too confused to bother.

And what we are watching and listening to is poison.

Violence, death, darkness, fire (hell), sin, vice, crime, corruption.....

Where is the good?

Where is God?

Any reference to religion is negative.

We are confounded and controlled.

Turn off the T.V..

Take out your earphones.

Look for the Light.

Find the Good.

Support Internet activism.

Listen to youth.

Fund worthy charities.

Pray.

Google Progressive Christianity.

Read the Bible with discrimination.

Study.

Contemplate.

Bother.

Find a way Home.

Forgive Them.

"'Father forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.'"  Luke 23:34 (NRSV)

These were Jesus' words on the cross.

But what do they mean?

Did he mean that they did not know that he was God's messenger?

Or did he mean that they were confused about life itself?

Perhaps he meant that they were not responsible for their actions because they were subject to authority.

Or perhaps he meant that the authorities themselves were not responsible because they had been taught false doctrines about the gods.

Perhaps even he meant that the Pharisees who had handed him over to the Romans were the victims of false traditional teachings.

"'Father forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.'"  Luke 23:34 (NRSV)

How can we apply this to our own lives?

When we are the victims of unfair treatment - unjust punishment, prejudice, hate, violence - are we to forgive them?

Do they know what they are doing?

Certainly persecution by Satanists falls into this category because Satanism is a false ideology based on lies.

The premise of Satanism is that God is a harsh and vindictive judge and punisher of humans.

This is a false premise.  And because it comes from the teachings of Jesus' Church itself they cannot be held responsible.

So forgive them Father; they do not know what they are doing.

Rosebud.

God does not condemn evil people.

There are reasons why people are evil.

So if evil people reject God what can He do?

Evil people have rejected a false image of God.

The harsh, vindictive God sometimes taught by the Churches.

So how can they be saved?

We may not be able to redeem them.

They may not believe us when we say that God is merciful and forgiving, that God loves us like His children.

But God knows them.

He can appeal to the innocent child that has been wounded by the world.

He can call Rosebud.

And lead their soul out of evil.

Default.

Because rock music and popular culture contain covert Satanism does not make right-wing Orthodox Christianity right by default.

Orthodox Christianity reflects the carrot and stick religion of the right which has more to do with control than religion.

Jesus' message of unconditional love and forgiveness from the Father was usurped by the State and modified to suit its purposes.

This trend can be seen throughout history whenever the religion of heaven and hell is preached.

But there is no hell, no devil, no dark powers.

There is only God.

And God is good.

He does not punish us.

He does not judge us.

He loves us like a Father.

And He forgives our mistakes.

Which are inevitable.

Agora.

"Then Paul stood in front of the Areopagus and said, 'I see how extremely religious you are in every way.'"  Acts 17:22 (NRSV)
"'For "In him we live and move and have our being."'"  Acts 17:29 (NRSV)

Paul used the Agora or Gathering Place in Greek cities as the forum for the dissemination of new ideas: political, philosophical, and religious.

In our modern world the forum for sharing new ideas is the Internet.

So we use the Internet as Paul used the Greek Agora.

Theological College.

Jesus said that the world did not know God.

How could this be?

How could God's representatives on Earth not know the nature and the will of God?

The answer is that they have all been trained to adhere to a strict orthodoxy.

Theological colleges past and present enforce an image of God which has been handed down from generation to generation.

God is seen as harsh and judgemental.
A dispenser of rewards and punishments.

Spirituality is seen as retribution.

Jesus said: "'Woe to you lawyers!  For you have taken away the key of knowledge, you did not enter yourselves, and you hindered those who were entering.'"  Luke 11:52 (NRSV)

Jesus was talking about Legalism - i.e. the rigid application of rules and regulations.

He contrasted this with his image of God as a loving Father.

"'And call no one your father on earth, for you have one Father - the one in heaven.'"  Matthew 23:9 (NRSV)

Was Jesus suggesting that we cut out the middle man and contact God directly?

Many people in our modern world would agree.

Could it be that the men in authority in Jesus' Churches are the descendants of the Pharisees?

It would seem so.

The blind lead the blind.

And they insult God.

So find a progressive Church.

Or go into your room and close the door.

Pray to God with all your heart.

He will answer you.

And deliver you from evil.

Tenants.

God owns the earth.

We are merely tenants.

We enter the world with nothing.
We leave the world with nothing.

All our estates and possessions are nothing to God.

He knows our needs.

He provides.

In the Year of Jubilee everyone was to return to their original plot of land.

Debts and acquisitions were to be cancelled.

Accumulation of wealth and privileges are anathema to God.

Despite modern conventions.

"'the Lord looks on the heart.'"  1 Samuel 16:7 (NRSV)

The heart is kindly and generous.
It gives and receives love freely.

Or it is cold and hard.
Closed by fear.
Broken by experience.

Open your heart to God and to others.

And Live!

A Living Wage.

In the parable of The Laborers in the Vineyard  workers are all paid "the usual daily wage" no matter how long they have worked.

This seems mysterious to most of us.

But what I believe that God (the landowner) is doing is ensuring that everyone has enough to live on.

"The usual daily wage" was a living wage - enough to live on - and each worker received enough.

This is God providing for us.

Providing enough for us to live.

And everyone receives the same.

This is a different orientation from the landowners of this world.

Most employers will pay according to the amount of work done - reward for effort.

And their motivation is to make bigger and bigger profits for themselves.

But God's orientation is to provide a living for each of His workers no matter how much work they have done.

God provides.

So why do people starve?

The earth produces enough food for everyone to live but because of our fear we hoard it and even destroy it rather than share it with others.

God has provided enough food.

But we will not share it with the hungry.

So people starve.

Business must change its orientation from personal profit to providing a living.

Our workers are our sons and daughters.

And God is our Father.

History.

There are two versions of history:

The version written and propagated by the powers of this world - The Winners.

And then there's the truth.

The version of history put out by Capitalists after the fall of Communism in Russia - The End of History - lauds the winner, Ronald Reagan, and his allies Generation X and denigrates the Hippies, their political enemies.

But Ronald Reagan was a dark man.
He did not hesitate to use violence in Central America to defeat his political enemies.  And he did not hesitate to use propaganda which demonized his political opponents.

He used Satan to win - i.e. he used the violence and evil in Generation X to intimidate and brainwash the Hippies calling them unamerican and wrongheaded.

So where is the truth?

The truth is that people who use violence and evil to win are not heroes but villains in the mold of Hitler and his thugs.

The victory of the right-wing Capitalists is sustained by media moguls who tell everyone that Reagan is a hero.  Our news, T.V., movies, and sports are controlled by them.

It's 1984.

But in the longrun Ronald Reagan and Generation X will be seen for what they are - violent people who used evil to win.

John is sophisticated Christology.

Church.

Much of what the Church has taught in the past is sophistry.

It is centered in the mind as a set of beliefs or principles.

And it is reinforced by fear.

This leads to a cold, hard atmosphere in church.

And many church people are cold, hard people.

But God is centered in the heart.

His children have warm, loving hearts.

And this can create warmth in church.

To improve the atmosphere in church we must address the specious fears that harden our hearts.

We must give love to those around us.

To improve people's experience of community we must put into practice the words that we express in church.

Only then will people return to the Church.

Dismantling Fascism.

Fascism is a cold, hard reaction to life's harshness.

In fact it is a fortress erected to protect a wound.

And what is that wound but a broken heart.

So the solution to fascism is not aggression or violence but love.

To show warmth and consideration to others will help them dismantle their defences and open up to other human beings.

So have a warm and generous heart.

And do not judge others for their shortcomings.

There will always be a good reason for them.

Pleasure.

Pleasure is not bad.

But pleasure is not the answer.

As we grow up we experience pleasures and they will often make us feel a bit better.

This results in a quest for more and more pleasures.

This leads to feelings of emptiness and want.

This is because selfish pleasure is not the answer.

The answer is love.

When we give love we realize that pleasure is a pale facsimile of love and we cease chasing after pleasures.

But pleasure is not bad.

Pleasure is not banned.

Pleasure in moderation is a good thing.

But love is the answer.

Celebrate!

A church friend of mine who is gay said to me: "I don't want to be just accepted, I want to be celebrated.  When straight people marry they clap and they cheer.....I want gay marriages to be celebrated like that!"

I can see his point.

To be grudgingly accepted is not equality at all.

And most Churches don't even do that.

So I look forward to the time when gay marriages are celebrated in all God's churches.

Vegetarian.

I am vegetarian.

It is clear to me that we are free to eat the fruits of the earth but not living things.

"God said, 'See I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.'"  Genesis 1:29 (NRSV)

This passage is followed by the statement that the fruits of the plants and trees are also for the animals and birds to eat.

There is no mention of animals or birds or fish as food for man.

My personal feelings are to do with non-violence.

I no longer feel comfortable killing living things for my food.

So I no longer eat meat or fish.

I will eat eggs and cheese because their use for food does not inflict pain on any living thing.

I believe that my attitude is backed up by the Biblical witness.

It is God's Will that we be vegetarian.
