Research shows that children brought up by gay parents are slightly better adjusted than those brought up by straight parents.
This may be because children brought up by gay parents are truly wanted.
It takes a lot of effort to have children if you are gay and couples have to be really sure that they want to have a family.
So don't be spooked by bogus claims about gay parents.
The truth is that gay people are no different from straight people - they fall in love, they commit to a relationship, and they want to have children.
So there is no threat to our society from same-sex marriage.
