Might and Power.

God is not might and power.

Although God is almighty and all powerful, He does not function through might and power.

Many Christians make the mistake of assuming that God, being almighty and all powerful, wins out though might and power.

But this is not the case.

God is gentle and non-violent.

When God showed Elijah the wind, earthquake, and fire, God was not in them.
God was in the still, small voice (a whisper).

"'Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord of hosts.'"  Zechariah 4:6b (NRSV)

So we can reject all the hymns and doctrines based on might, victory, conquest, violence etc..

God is not in them.

God is gentle and non-violent, even small.
