Most people these days get their values from the mass media.

If you listen to the media the purpose of life is :
Making money.
Shopping.
Watching (T.V, D.V.D.s, movies).
Partying (getting smashed).

Sport :
Winning at all costs.
Working harder.
Bullying.
Losing is pain.

Video clips :
Fast cars.
Nasty sex.
Status.
Bad (is good).
Violence.
Abuse of women.
Materialism.
The dark side.
Partying.

But.

True happiness comes from :
Loving relationships.
Integrity.
Honesty.
Self respect.
Moderation.
Courage.
Compassion.
Understanding.
Patience.
Generosity.

It is not possible to be happy without self-discipline.
