Gay Scapegoat.

The attempts by some high-ranking Cardinals in the Catholic Church to blame homosexuals for the child sexual abuse scandals is yet another example of the Church's seemingly endless capacity to avoid responsibility for what has taken place in its own organization.

Some have called for homosexuals to be banned from the Church.

As if this would somehow solve the problem and absolve them of guilt.

How they can blame homosexuals for the sex slavery of nuns I don't know.

Homosexuality is not pedophilia.  

Sex between two consenting adults bears no resemblance to the abuse of minors.

 

The Catholic Church seems hell-bent on avoiding the question of sexual repression caused by celibacy.

The only way to overcome sexual abuse is to change the Church's teachings on sex.

A healthy, positive approach to our human sexuality is the only answer.

So instead of avoiding the issues and looking for a scapegoat the Churches should look to their own abusive teachings and doctrines. 

Only then will the abuse stop.

The Perception of Good and Evil.

Our corporate-owned media are in the business of manipulating our perceptions of good and evil.

Following the example of the late Ronald Reagan, who used this technique to defeat Communism in Russia, they blacken their enemies and whitewash their political allies.

Anyone on the political left is demonized and anyone on the right is sainted.

The obvious example of this is Fox News.

In fact the entire empire of Rupert Murdoch engages in this practice.

They conduct hate campaigns against left-wing political leaders and romanticize the right.

This, of course, is exactly what Hitler did in 1930s Germany.

But the addition of mass mind-control techniques from George Orwell's novel 1984 makes it all the worse.  

And Rupert Murdoch controls the entire world of news.

So this is a global campaign.

And this is in league with Satanists in rock music and entertainment who use black magic techniques to control peoples' perceptions.

Anything backwards or upside-down is suspect.

They reverse our perceptions and poison our images.

They also use astrology as Ronald Reagan did.

So they have the support of both Satanism and the Religious Right.

They use the Religious Right to control the blessing of the Holy Spirit which they apply to their political allies.  And they demonize and damn their political enemies.

So be aware that there is a plot to subjugate humanity to the will of the rich right-wing ideologues.

But there is a God.

And He is true.

Pray to God and He will deliver you.

Idolatry.

It is my opinion that worshipping the person of Jesus is a form of idolatry.

Many Christian Churches teach that Salvation comes from Jesus himself.

They ignore what Jesus said and push the Sinner's Prayer.

They teach sexism and preach gay-hate.

But when the voice from God came in the cloud at the Transfiguration it said: "Listen to him."

It did not say "Worship him".

It did not say "Believe in him".

It said "Listen to him".

Listen to his teachings and his parables.

For it is these that will save us.

Gay.

Imagine what it would be like to be told that you are excluded from the Love of God.

And not only that but that God hates you.

Imagine how that would make you feel.

This is exactly what young gay and lesbian people are being told.

Is it any wonder that most of them say they don't believe in God.

Better no God at all than a God who is like that.

Some may even turn to Satan out of desperation.

Satan may seem reasonable compared to such a God.

But fortunately this is not true.

God loves gays and lesbians.

They are like His gay sons and daughters.

But unfortunately they never hear this message.

The media is saturated with the most extreme views.

Especially regarding homosexuality.

So tell your gay friends and relatives that God loves them.

They are not excluded from the Kingdom of God.

And they will be accepted into Heaven when they die.

Back to Basics.

We have lost sight of all honesty and integrity.

With the advent of Market Values has come a justification of corruption in the name of profit.

Anything that makes money is justified.

Honesty and integrity are no longer required.

It is time to get back to basics.

Basic honesty and an orientation to virtue.

Why?

Because corruption and evil cause untold suffering for the many.

A privileged few may profit from these hidden practices.

But "what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life?"  Matthew 16:26 (NRSV)

In the end our life is in the hands of God.

"and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"  Micah 6:8 (NRSV)

This is basic honesty and compassion.  

The world will tell you to want and to acquire, to spend and to own, to listen and to watch.

They will say, "There is no God."

For money is their god.

But Jesus  said, "No one can serve two masters; for a slave will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other.  You cannot serve God and wealth."  Matthew 6:24 (NRSV)

"But" you say "We have to work in order to live."

"And they own everything."

But God is  greater power than the plutocrats who rule our world.

God can get you a job.

You can even work for God. 

He has ways that are beyond the understanding of the masters.

We can even help to make straight the ways of the plutocrats.

So return to your native ideals and virtues.

And pray for the fathers to turn from evil.

A Greater Power.

There is a greater power in our world than the corporate plutocrats who control our employment.

And that is the Living God.

The creator and sustainer of the whole universe.

If you put your faith in Him you will be free if the fear and intimidation that the plutocrats impose.

We all have to eat.

God will feed you.

We all have to work.

Work for God.

God will provide.

There will always be enough.

Put your faith in Him.

Wicked Tenants.

When Jesus entered the Temple in Jerusalem he told the Parable of the Wicked Tenants.

In this parable a king lets out his vineyard to tenants while he is away and when he sends for his profits they beat up and kill the messenger (his son).

The Pharisees, about whom the parable tells, reacted by plotting to kill Jesus.

The Pharisees were a powerful and privileged caste of priests and religious.

They lived in palaces and consorted with kings.

They ruled with an iron fist.

And they enjoyed their spiritual superiority.

Jesus called them whited sepulchers.

And because Jesus knew that the teachings of the Pharisees enslaved the people and could not be challenged he criticized them publicly.

And their response was violent.

This situation still exists today.

To challenge those who enslave the people and those who benefit from privilege in the Churches is to risk violence.

To tell the truth is to risk your life.

As my friend Ruth would say this is human nature.

But writing it off as human nature us a cop-out.

We must encourage honesty in our Churches.

Otherwise things will stay the same.

And the vision will be lost.

The Words of Life.

Having discovered the evil in rock music I returned to the Church in the hope of finding an answer.

And I found there the Words of Life:

Life. Light. Love.

Mercy. Compassion. Forgiveness.

Charity. Selflessness. Giving.

Courage. Peace. Joy.

"The Gates of Day."

Love God and love your neighbor. 

Deliverance. Salvation. Good.

These are the Words of Life.

The Good News.

Hear the Good News:

God does not punish us.

God does not judge us.

God does not ban sex.

God does not condemn homosexuals.

God does not subjugate women.

God welcomes everyone.

He is our loving Father.

And He loves us like His children.

He is always available to help.

His mercy is sure.

His forgiveness is absolute.

And His Love is everlasting.

Pray to God with a sincere heart.

And He will hear you.

The New Age.

After 2000 years of the Age of Pisces we are now entering the Age of Aquarius.

This New Age will see a new religious paradigm. 

It will be based on human values.

And it will be international and interfaith.

The Christian component of this New Paradigm will reflect the human nature of Jesus.

His inclusive humanity.

And his human faith.

God will be seen as merciful, forgiving, compassionate,and loyal.

A loving Father to all humanity.

The attitude to sex in general and homosexuality in particular will be more liberal.

Moderation will replace self-denial in relation to pleasure.

And non-violence will replace aggression in relation to conflict.

Unconditional love will replace conditional love.

And mercy will replace judgement.

In fact humanity may be ready to see the reality that God judges no one but loves and redeems even the most evil of sinners.

We may see the end of Duality - the knowledge of good and evil.

And we may see the transcendent God - beyond sin and evil - who is wholly good, all light, and ever-loving.

This God is Love.

Turning World.

Time.

Since the 1980s when the conservative Capitalist conglomerate turned the zeitgeist to the right and the anti-gay religious lobby ruled we have seen inequality and intolerance increase.

But with the emergence of the Religious Left and the education of young people the spirit of the age is beginning to turn.

The gay scapegoat so popular with the Fundamentalists is  no longer valid.  83% of people under 24 supported gay marriage in Australia.

And when asked about gay marriage 100% of participants in a Progressive Christian conference were in favor.

So things are beginning to change.

Young people in the U.S. are becoming politically active, particularly in relation to gun control.

This is the beginning of change. 

The backlash against the Fascism of Donald Trump is greater than his manifesto.

And a left-wing Pope will change history.

The return of the religious question will change everything.

Mercy, compassion, peace, love.....

These things will change the world.

And gay people will be free at last.

Can Do.

What we can do in this 21st Century global culture is create a world that is just and fair for all.

We have the means to remedy the gross disparity in wealth between the nations.

The United Nations and new national governments can combine to help the developing countries of the world.

And this could be done not only with aid but with economic development such as we have seen in China and India.

The nations of the West must reject the economics of war and endorse peaceful trade and diplomacy.

We must refrain from exploitation and oppression.

And we must strive towards universal brotherhood and sisterhood.

Corporate greed and corruption must be curbed in order to enable countries to embrace global justice.

And dialogues must be begun to resolve conflicts.

Initiatives must be taken now to break down the barriers to a more global community.

Barriers of culture, race, religion, and philosophy.

We must cross borders and break down walls.

We must talk.

We must listen.

Only then will the 21st Century become the Century of Hope,

Search.

And the end of all our searching is to find the love within our own hearts.

And to pour out that love to God and to all humanity.

Return.

After 40 years of pragmatic capitalism the people of the world are weary.

We are distressed about the level of inequality in our world. 

And we are sick of corruption.

So we have seen a return to the longing for peace.

And we have once again turned to spirituality.

The reign of the secular pragmatic economists is a failure.

They wage war and sell materialism.

This does not bring happiness.

When will humanity realize.

And so the search begins again.

Accepting God as King over us does not mean that we can disobey the law of the land.

God's Law is more stringent than man-made laws.

So in fact we become more law-abiding than we were before.

Plot.

It is the plot of the plutocrats to threaten, seduce, bully, hypnotize, brainwash, torture, harass, and control everyone.

They own the media.

They manipulate religion.

They demonize their enemies.

And damn any challenge.

They conspire with evil.

They usurp righteousness.

And take Heaven by force.

And all this is done for money!

Satanism.

We live in a world that is dark, cold, indifferent, hard, tough, and demanding.

Money rules and power wins.

Religion is bankrupt.

Our entertainment is evil.

And our aspirations are material.

But hidden from sight is a great dark secret.

Rock musicians, celebrities, sportsmen, and writers have sold their souls and do the devil's work.

Rogues and scoundrels, despicable me, dancing with the devil, venom, dirty deeds, the devil inside, the music of the night.....

Death and darkness, women in black, snakes and spiders, graves and ghosts, skeletons, skulls.....

The darkness hides them.

The T.V. distracts.

Drugs and addictions.

Obsessions.

But there is a reason.

Hidden for a season.

Fear and Smear.

Since Ronald Reagan resurrected the practice of using pseudo-religious language to demonize his political enemies we have seen the return of the classical political practice of fear and smear.

Allying himself to Rupert Murdoch's news empire Reagan used the media to smear the icons of the 1960s - namely John F. Kennedy and John Lennon.

His first act was to rename Cape Kennedy Cape Canaveral.  And there followed a series of negative stories about Kennedy's private life.

And his claim that the Hippies were agents of Satan demonized a whole generation.

Using the Pope and the Religious Right he succeeded in destroying his political and cultural enemies.

But fear and smear is a negative practice.

It may not last forever.

The truth will win out in the end.

Blaming and Shaming.

When Ronald Reagan assumed power he set out to destroy the legacy of the Hippies.

By calling them unconscious agents of Satan he demonized them all.

And by coining the term "Politically Correct" he marginalized their philosophy.

Next he heaped shame on them by claiming that they did not honor the veterans of the Vietnam war.

He organized a commemorative march to emphasize his point.

But his greatest power came from the reaction of the next generation - Generation X.

Their jealousy and hatred of the Hippies resulted in verbal and emotional violence which shouted down any protest.

The Hippies got the blame for everything.

So what has this to do with us today?

The resultant domination of pragmatic Capitalism and materialism is still with us today.

Generation Y may have helped to resurrect the Hippies' rock legends but by making it all about money the captains of industry succeeded in their efforts to avoid any subsequent idealism.

Idealism was hated because it was not profitable.

In fact any form of idealism was blamed for an economic downturn.

So now we are seeing the results of Reaganism:

Huge disparity between rich and poor.

Perpetual war.

Fascism.

Collusion.

Corruption.

Racism.

And evil.

Honest to God.

It is evident if you read the Bible that God expects us to be honest.

The Ten Commandments, passages of the Law, the Prophets, John the Baptist, and Jesus himself exhort us to deal honestly with our brothers and sisters.

This is an obvious expectation.

And yet who is honest in our world?

Employers cheat their workers and demand unpaid overtime.

Rich corporations pay no tax.

Everyone cheats everyone else.

Reality T.V. indulges in back stabbing and evil.

We must compete.

We must win.

   

The decline in religion has seen the demise of ethics in our world.

Governments turn a blind eye to corruption.

The media has no respect for the truth.

Politicians make excuses for blunders.

Plutocrats deny wrongdoing and exploitation.

We are told to lie.

We are told to be selfish.

It's dog eat dog.

And good guys come last.

The more fear we feel the more evil appears in our world.

But faith allays our fears.

God provides.

God is good.

And God expects us to be honest.
