It would seem that their sensitivity and their experience of prejudice and discrimination has made them more compassionate than the average person.

They own and control everything.

They use religion and they brainwash everyone.

They betray the nature of the news media.

And they will use any methods available to achieve their objectives.

They slander idealism.

And they demonize the Left.

But it is based on hate.

Fear and smear!

Carrot and stick!

They have conspired with evil to win.

God help us!

Rock music is poison.

Why would rock musicians be so malicious?

Because they sell their souls to the devil for fame and fortune and the perfection of their art.

And they do the devil's work.

Or so they believe.

"Dirty deeds done dirt cheap."

They take you down.

They laugh at you.

They call you suckers.

They corrupt you.

They deceive you.

They disturb you.

They distract you.

Then they put you to sleep.

They are false prophets.

Leave them behind.

Amos.

"Hear this, you that trample on the needy,

and bring ruin to the poor of the land,

saying, 'When will the new moon be over 

so that we may sell grain,

and the sabbath, so that we may offer wheat for sale?

We will make the ephah small and the shekel great,

and practise deceit and false balances,

buying the poor for silver,

and the needy for a pair of sandals,

and selling the sweepings of the wheat.'"

Amos was a prophet of Israel in 800 BCE.

But somehow this sounds familiar.

You who trample on the needy and ruin the poor.

You cook the books and make the dollar great.

You practise deceit and false balances.

He could have been speaking today!

Tax evasion, fake news, spin, corruption.....

All of these things make the dollar god.

Prophesy and denounce them!

Distortions.

Evangelical Christians believe that all Hippies and gays are evil.

They know that the superstars of the 1960s and 1970s were secret Satanists out to corrupt a whole generation.

But their Satanism wore a mask.

Peace, love, and social justice appeared on the covers of their albums.

But sex and drugs and rock and roll was the outcome.

This, and worse, was hidden behind the mask.

But, under the instruction of Ronald Reagan (a right-wing politician), American Evangelical Christians were told that the left-leaning Hippies were all agents of Satan.

Unfortunately they took this at face value and condemned peace, love and social justice and all left-wing, liberal people.

This is distortion.

The Hippies were not evil but victims of the evil put out by their rock legends.

But Evangelicals reserved a special place in hell for gays and lesbians.

They said that all Satanists were gay and all gay people were possessed by demons.

This became a scapegoat for all kinds of evil.

Concurrently they whitewashed Generation X who wore all black and had one foot in the devil's house.

These distortions have been fed by the media for psychological and political purposes.

     

But the distortion does not stop there.

The Baby-Boomer Generation still believe that their rock legends and heroes are idealistic good guys like themselves.

This is also a distortion of the truth.

Rock music is the domain of Satanists especially those who follow the teachings of Aleister Crowley.

Aleister Crowley was an early 20th Century black magician and Satanist whose catch-cry was: "Do what you will."

This was modified by rock stars into: "Do you own thing."  

So, while Hippies were basically good and idealistic, the evil influence of rock music made them selfish and hedonistic as well.

The answer then is to teach Evangelical Christians that the Hippies were basically the victims of Satanism, not the perpetrators - they were rock stars.

And not all gays are demonic - there are good gays as well.

And Socialism is not Totalitarianism.  

And Liberalism is not Satanism. 

But the Baby-Boomers must also admit that their rock legends were secret Satanists and eliminate the evil influence which stems from their music.

God's House.

The Church is God's House.

Ideally it is a place of refuge from the harsh realities of our world.

A place where people find sanctuary in the protective Love of God.

It is also a House of Prayer.

It is a place where people can come to petition God for help.

Unfortunately the tenants of God's House are prone to corruption and vice.

"Ah, you shepherds of Israel who have been feeding yourselves!  Should not the shepherds feed the sheep?  You eat the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the sheep.  You have not strengthened the weak, you have not healed the sick, you have not bound up the injured, you have not brought back the strayed, you have not sought the lost, but with force and harshness you have ruled them."  Ezekiel 34:2-4 (NRSV)

In Matthew 23 Jesus denounces the Pharisees for pride, hypocrisy, and extortion.

And in Luke 20 Jesus tells The Parable of the Wicked Tenants.      

All these refer to God's priesthood - His representatives on Earth.

And it is these representatives who killed Jesus.

So when you enter God's House be aware that you are not just encountering God but His priesthood also.

The Least.

It is the way of the world to win.

Win at all costs.

Winner takes all.

And the winners write history.

But God is with the least.

The outcasts, the forgotten, the losers.....

Winners worship the Beast:

They win through violence, hate, and evil.

They are cold, hard, and intimidating.

They use fear and force.

But God is with the least.

And God embodies: mercy, forgiveness, pity, and love.

No one is too lowly for God.

Cry out to God!

He will hear.

And He will enfold you in His steadfast Love.

And show you His Salvation.

Angels.

Generation X's catch-cry was "I'm no angel".

Well we are angels.

And we always have been.

It's no boast to be bad and have one foot in the devil's house.

That's nothing to be proud of.

But to be agents of peace and love and to try to save the world.

We can be proud of that.

And all your violence and abuse will come to nothing.

We have won our place in Heaven.

High Ideals 4.

I say we should maintain our high ideals.

But not if those ideals violate the rights of others.

For the highest ideal of all is:

Love.

And what are our high ideals:

Non-Violence.

Social Justice.

Equality.

Freedom.

Tolerance.

Compassion.

Mercy.

Peace.

Unconditional Love.

Maintain your high ideals.

Don't be reconstructed by pragmatists.

Don't be compromised by Conservatives.

Don't be converted by Fundamentalists.

Don't be seduced by Capitalists.

Don't be distracted from your purpose.

Because your high ideals are close to God.

"For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways

and my thoughts higher than your thoughts."

High Ideals 1.

Maintain your high ideals.

Don't let the world corrupt you.

Don't let evil threaten or tempt you.

Because it is your high ideals that God desires.

Not lip service or hypocrisy.

Not fear or complacency.

Don't let violence or deception divert you.

Cry out to God!

He will hear.

And deliver you from evil.

The Force.

Like in the movie we are surrounded by The Force.

This is the Life Force that permeates the universe.

It is in humans and animals, in plants and trees. even in the earth itself.

But, unlike the movie, there is no dark side.

The idea of a dark side results from dualistic thinking - i.e. that everything must have an opposite  balancing equivalent.

But this is by no means true.

There are no demons, no dark powers, no devil.....

So called dark matter and dark energies are not dark but merely outside the range of our human perceptions.

They emit invisible radiation.

Dualism is like the primary school of philosophy.

It appears to be true at first but does not stand scrutiny.

So when we say "The Force be with you" we are saying to you that Life is all around you and that you are part of that Life!

Gay Angels.

Gay men are Angels.

Our love is good.

And our lovers are beautiful.

Prejudice and persecution will not change that.

Our robes are washed white.

And our destination is Heaven.

Gentleness.

How can we overcome violence?

To meet violence with violence is only to perpetuate violence.

To meet force with force is only to perpetuate force.

To meet strength with strength is only to perpetuate strength.

This merely replaces war with Pax Romana - i.e. peace through domination. 

But could it be that we could overcome violence with gentleness?

To meet force and strength with gentle love is to penetrate to the root of violence which is fear.

And love casts out fear.

Because love is what we are protecting.

Neglect, betrayal, rejection, bullying.....

All these things are inspired by fear.

Fear of being hurt.

Fear of not being loved.

But gentle love disperses this fear.

And we are free.

Free to love.

Free to live.

Free to give from the infinite source of love within our hearts.

So give your love gently.

Let go of your fear.

And you will find that your soul, which is in your heart, is restored.

The Way.

God has sent us new revelations in the form of Progressive Christianity.

And although this involves a new way of thinking about God, scripture, and theology Progressive Christianity is not about converting other people to our way of thinking.

This is the classic mistake of conversion.

And conversion gives power to the converter.

But this is not the purpose of enlightenment.

The Buddha said: "The way is not in the sky; the way is in the heart."

So the purpose of these new revelations is not to export ideas to others but to open people's hearts.

Then, instead of scoring points for conversion, we will be meeting the needs of those who come to us.

Instead of thinking of ourselves we will be thinking of others.

Instead of taking we will be giving.

Damage.

It's no use pretending to be Progressive and then turning it back into Orthodoxy.

It's no use stealing the answer and pretending the Church has never done anything wrong.

It's no use  clinging to the old theology:

Original Sin, Penal Substitution, Mortification of the Body, Penance, Celibacy, suffering, sin, debt, fear, guilt, hell.....

All these things have damaged humanity.

And that's quite apart from The Crusades and The Inquisition.

The Church has a lot to answer for.

There will be no revival until they do.

Today we remember

All those who have gone before us:

Our parents, our grandparents, our ancestors,

The worthy and the unworthy,

A great cloud of witnesses.....

Their souls abide
