Culture Clash.

As globalization continues in our world the ideas that form the basis of people's cultures will come into conflict.

Unless this problem is addressed positively this will end in physical conflict and violence.

Aquarius stands for tolerance.

But mere tolerance may not be enough.

We must introduce dialogue between the various cultures or they will harden into blocks which will compete against each other for supremacy.

One way of managing this standoff is to introduce a political solution.

But to do this we must have honest interaction which addresses the basic problems which separate us.

Multi-culturalism may be dead.

But this mingling of cultures in a peaceful society may be our only hope.

Religions.

"I came to the conclusion long ago that all religions were true and also that all religions had some error in them."  Mahatma Gandhi.

Rejecting one religion because it contains errors and adopting another will only result in experiencing different errors.

Many in our modern world have rejected institutional Christianity because of errors and embraced Eastern religions like Buddhism.

But Buddhism also contains basic errors which are no more palatable than Christian errors.

What Progressive Christianity seeks to do is to revise theological and doctrinal traditions and eliminate obvious errors.

If each of the world's religions engaged in this self-examination in the light of science and scholarship we may find more agreement between them.

Aquarius does not seek to form a new universal religion but to experience a new revelation which is common to all religions.

No Guilt.

The Church has traditionally imposed guilt.

Guilt for sin.
Usually sexual sin.

So that everyone is constantly looking to appease guilt.

This is very poor motivation.

Jesus says: "'Your sins are forgiven.'"  Matthew 9:5 (NRSV)

He does not invoke guilt.

Even where sexual sins are evident he says:  "'Your faith has saved you, go in peace.'"  Luke 7:50 (NRSV)

So we should not feel guilty about sex.

We should feel glad and full of joy.

For sex is a manifestation of love.

The Surplus.

What we have to realize is that, far from being the guilty party, the Hippies were the victims of Satanism in rock music.

The suffering that was induced by the rock music of the 1960s and 1970s was extensive.

Drug addiction, divorce, degradation, criminality, depression, mental-illness, suicide.....

All these things can be traced directly to the rock music of the era.

And it doesn't stop there.

Generation X were turned to evil by their rock stars.

Generation Y were told to sin.

Later generations have been led to witchcraft and wickedness.

This has caused great suffering for all those affected.

And all of this evil malice was unsolicited and undeserved.

So we are looking at a gigantic surplus of good karma.

Leaders.

Don't allow rock stars and celebrities to lead you.

What they do is pretend that they epitomize your ideals then take the steering wheel and turn you to sin and evil.

This is what happened to the Hippie Generation of the 1960s.
Rock stars turned peace and love into sex and drugs and rock and roll in precisely this manner.

So don't believe their videos and tweets.

They will betray you and turn your hopes to ruin.

Pop Stars.

Do not blindly follow pop stars even if they lay claim to ideals.

They are lying.

A closer look at their songs and videos will reveal the opposite.

They are cynical and sinister.

They will betray your ideals.

And stab you in the back.

Leaders.

We are led by the faceless men of the multi-national corporations.

Whose brutal agenda renders everyone powerless.

They rule the boardroom.

They own everything.

They control our governments.

They manipulate our media.

Big Brother is here and now.

But there is a glimmer of hope.

Religious leaders like Pope Francis, Desmond Tutu, and the Dalia Lama are gaining some attention.

Their enlightened insights are being listened to by many.

But how can we escape the iron grip of the corporations?

It will take more than a few wise aphorisms.

Leaders must come forward who are not motivated by personal profit.

Ideals must be seen again in the capitals.

Not just economic robots.

We must demand that our leaders serve the people.

And the corporations must accept their responsibilities as citizens of the world.

All of this must begin now!

Or in the not too distant future there will be violent revolutions.

Nudity.

There is nothing wrong with nudity in itself.

But unfortunately nudity is being used in our modern world as a hook.

Nudity is used to get your attention and then fill your mind with death and evil.

This practise is widespread and derives from Satanism in our popular music, entertainment, and sports.

They will try to addict you and get your money.

One way or another.

So be wary of people who use gratuitous nudity.

Watch where it leads you.

And you will see!

Targets.

Satanism is all about sex and death,

"Make them fxxk."

And as such their major targets are young girls and musclemen.

Young girls are encouraged to think of themselves as sex objects for boys.

They are told that they will get what they want by meeting their boyfriend's sexual requirements.

So you will see them in the streets and in night clubs virtually naked.

Musclemen are told that they are monsters, beasts, and animals.

This is because they are a major sexual fantasy for many - women and men - and people copy and follow them.

Satanists believe that fornication and homosexuality lead to death and hell.

So their objectives are met.

Sex is available.

And everyone is dead.

But what we are really looking for is love.

And love is intimately associated with God.

God is good.

His mercy is infinite.

His forgiveness is everlasting.

And His Love is unconditional.

Our Common Humanity.

As we come more closely into contact with each other and experience differences in culture we should not cling too tightly to our precious ideas.

Ideology is the cause of many of the world's conflicts.

Instead we should maintain an awareness of our common humanity.

We are all human beings in one big family.

And in families there is often conflict.

But there is also security and love.

So, rather than identifying with our ideas, we should concentrate on our common humanity.

The Temptations of Power.

When people gain power they are subject to various temptations which result in evil in our world.

They can be tempted to profit at the expense of others, betray their neighbors, consider themselves superior, use propaganda and brainwashing techniques to control people, use violence and war to win, gloat, cheat, and justify inequality.

They are tempted to harden their hearts and take advantage of people less fortunate than themselves.

And this is what has happened in our world.

But they are motivated by fear.

Pray for them.

And forgive them.

They don't know what they are doing.

Open Your Hearts.

When we look at the modern world with its materialism, its violence, its war, its racism, its homophobia, its evil.....

We can sometimes despair.

Where is the answer?

We have no say.

We have no power.

We have no time.

But God despairs with us.

What He asks of us is this:

Open your hearts!

Then the world will begin to be less cold, less cruel, less lonely.....

And God will say: "Here I am."

Powerful.

Would you be powerful?

There is a power:

Greater than strength.

Greater than violence.

Greater than fear.

And that is Love.

"Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord of hosts."  Zechariah 4:6 (NRSV)

Voices.

The world will tell you to compete, achieve, climb, spend, consume, acquire; watch, listen, follow.....

Evil will ruin your relationships, isolate you, kill you.

But God will forgive you, bless you, love you.

And He will lead you to Eternal Life.

So turn off the media and turn to God.

He will deliver you.

Unorthodox.

Could God be unorthodox?

God is beyond our human conceptions.

God is transcendent and sublime.

God is beautiful.

God is elegant.

The traditional concept of God as ruler and judge, even if watered down by modern liberals, persists in our churches, mosques, synagogues, and temples.

We seem unable to let go of the idea that God might punish us.

We cannot let go of our fear.

But God says: "Fear not."

"Trust me."

"I love you."

Tradition.

Jesus said to the Pharisees: "'And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?'"  Matthew 15:3 (NRSV)
"'You hypocrites!  Isaiah prophesied rightly about you when he said: "This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, in vain do they worship me, teaching human precepts as doctrines.'"  Matthew 15:7-9 (NRSV)
"'Thus making void the word of God through your tradition that you have handed on.  And you do many things like this.'"  Mark 7:13 (NRSV)

And they still do this today - ignoring the words of Jesus for the sake of tradition.

Many Churches teach doctrines which were developed long after the Gospels were written, many of which contradict the teachings of Jesus himself.

We see this with the doctrines that derive from the writings of St. Paul and St. Augustine.

But they hold fast to their tradition and threaten any deviation from strict Orthodoxy.

Jesus would say to them what he said to the Pharisees - "You hypocrites!"

Forgiveness.

We are not born omniscient.

So it is inevitable that we will make mistakes and fall short of the ideal.

Therefore forgiveness is essential.

Without forgiveness there can be no progress.

Jesus said, "'Your sins are forgiven.'"  Mark 2:9 (NRSV)

In his parables the king is always writing off debts.

So don't be afraid to make a mistake.

You will be forgiven.

And you might just learn something.

Philosophy.

There are many schools of philosophical thought which have developed throughout human history.

From primitive practises of appeasement of the gods, through asceticism, atonement, good works, karma, reincarnation, logical positivism, and enlightenment to modern liberal humanism.....

All these philosophies are attempts to make sense of our lives.

And they are not without value.

But it is when we encounter God through love that we at last see the light.

God is Love.

And life is about finding and embracing love.

We must open our hearts.

Then we will begin to live.

Curry and Rice.

In the personal ads. section of a gay publication there appeared several advertisements which stipulated "no curry, no rice".

This of course meant no Indians, no Chinese.

This is blatant racism and is to be condemned.

Personally I rather like curry and rice.

Indian and Chinese immigrants bring a rich diversity to Australian culture.

But it is unfashionable to support Multi-Culturalism.

White monoculture is dominant.

And fear is rife.

It is up to us, however, to make for immigrants - Asian or otherwise - a home here in Australia.

Which means not only opening our doors but opening our hearts.

Saving Our Souls.

When I say that the counter-culture was a curse induced by rock music I do not mean that the Hippies themselves were evil.

I believe that the Baby-Boomer generation was good and idealistic but that their rock legends led them astray into lives of drugs and degradation.

In fact peace and love are important teachings of Jesus of Nazareth.

Sex and drugs and rock and roll derive from rock music.

And that is not to say that conservatism and corporate culture are good by default.  They represent the modern versions of the Pharisees and the Romans.

If we can distill the original innocence and idealism of the Baby-Boomers from the hedonism and decadence of rock music we may be able to save our souls.

Satanism induces extreme suffering.

And the Hippies have suffered intensely.

If we can recall the innocence and idealism that was present before it was corrupted and reconstructed we will go a long way to rediscovering our souls.
