Stealing the Credit.

What can happen when God breaks into human history is that the powers that be - the conservative establishment, or those who represent earthly authority, which includes the Church - the guardians of the status quo - will steal the credit for any improvement and reestablish their supremacy.

This is what happened to Christianity at Nicaea.

The message of unconditional love and forgiveness from Jesus was usurped by the State and modified to suit their purposes.

This is when Jesus of Nazareth became Christ the Conquering King.

And then any spiritual influence dried up.

Because the powers that be are takers not givers they invoke obligation with no reciprocal duty of care.

And all power devolves to them.

So beware.

Any message will go in one ear and out the other.

And any credit will be taken by the authorities.

What Do You Need?

When I sit down to write I merely look at those around me and ask, "What is it that they need?"

Often it will be some knowledge which is hidden.

Sometimes it will be a perspective which is unfamiliar.

Other times it will be some teaching which is pointing in the right direction.

Always it is Love.

So seek the Light.

Learn how to weep.

And open your heart.

See.

What the forces of darkness are doing is pushing the idea that all sex is evil then pointing the finger at the Church so God gets the blame.

This makes the devil desirable.
The devil is more sensible than the Church (God).

Also they straighten gay people, again pointing the finger at God's Church.

This makes the devil, even hell, preferable to God.

This is done in the popular culture - rock music, movies, T.V. etc. - on an unconscious level so that we barely register what we are seeing and hearing.

Flames, skulls, spiderwebs, death, darkness, tongues, the sign of the devil.....

All these things are there to be seen.

But humanity is in denial.

There is no devil after all.

No.

But there are people - rock stars and celebrities - who believe in the devil and have sold their souls for fame and fortune and the perfection of their art.

They believe in magic and create spells which make us sin and transgress.

But this is not magic it is unconscious propaganda.

Look at the symbols and images in the videos and music, in the movies and books.....

What is the unconscious effect that it creates in your mind?

Bring this up to the surface and ask, "What is the motive for this?"

You may be surprised.

Double Trouble.

Not only does the Church get the blame for suppressing sex but the sex abuse scandals double the blame causing people to reject the Church as an evil institution.

This is reinforced by Fundamentalist homophobia and hate.

So the Church is far from people's hearts and minds.

It is bankrupt literally and spiritually in the minds of the public.

No one wants it.

"Don't they need God?"  You ask.

They may, but if they do they don't look for Him in the Church, they seek God in meditation, tarot cards, mythology, goddess worship, even witchcraft.....

Unfortunately these individual attempts are prone to interference from the dark forces around us in society.

They are doomed to failure.

So don't think that the Church is well thought of by society.

It is not.

And God is not there.

Meaningless.

Our problem is not so much that our life is meaningless as our suffering is meaningless.

All human beings suffer.

And it is our suffering that vexes us.

Some blame God for allowing suffering.

Others make of it a virtue.

And while it is true that suffering can teach us to be compassionate it is not God's will that we suffer.

In my experience all of God's efforts are to alleviate suffering.

To bring us to a state of equilibrium, even happiness.

But life is not meaningless.

Our suffering is caused by human ignorance and fear enacted through free will.

But the meaning and purpose of life is Love.

A Tall Order.

So, while abuse is real and we should never condone it, the Church must be seen to be doing something about it.

This applies also to the ordination of women, married priests, the acceptance of gays and lesbians in marriage and leadership, and the end of sex-phobic theological positions based on the Old Testament and the writings of St. Paul.

But the Churches are dragging their feet.
Many even actively resist change.

So will Progressive Christianity break away and form a separate Church?
It will still be a Church so it will face the same problems.

Will change come quickly enough?

Not at the present rate.

But there is a glimmer of hope.

God is doing a new thing.

It is mostly on the Internet, not on pews in churches.

We will have to wait and see.

Blaming God.

Hate is contagious.

"Why? Why? Why?"  Scream the headlines!

Why would God allow this to happen?

Burn down the mission!

Bring down the Patriarchy!

People actively seek to destroy the Church.

But they don't know why.

Their hatred is fed by rock music, spread by the media, and justified by atheists.

They want the Church dead!

Then they will be free!

But this is unconscious patricide.

Is that really what they want?

Time will tell.

Heroes.

From the time we are born we are told to aspire to high achievement/high salary success.

We are told to emulate those who have achieved fame and fortune in their chosen fields.

Young people today have no message other than this.

So it will come as a surprise to learn that Jesus said to love your enemies, and to treat others as you would like to be treated yourself.

They know nothing of Job and his companions.

All they know is rock music and celebrity tweets.

So to all those young people who are living this empty, hopeless life there is another way to live.

And that is the way of the heart.

Open your heart to God and to others and see what a difference it makes to your life!

Jesus said to love God and love your neighbor.

You need know no more than this.

Co-Creators.

We are God's hands in the world.

But we are not just channels through which God acts.

We have minds and hearts of our own.

And we are meant to use them.

We are meant to think about things and come up with ideas.

We are meant to give our love to God and to others.

So we are not just passive channels of God's Love.

We actively participate with God as co-creators.

Ronald Reagan.

When Ronald Reagan came to power he set about changing the course of history.

He harnessed the anti-left rebelliousness of Generation X and demonized his political opponents - the left-leaning Hippies and Baby-Boomers.

He coined the term politically correct and and labelled any liberal thinking with this slur.

He also sent Satanic rock bands into the U.S.S.R. and enlisted the support of Pope John Paul II to foment rebellion in Poland and Eastern Europe.

In this way he broke the back of Soviet Communism.

Ronald Reagan has subsequently been called a hero of many Americans.

But Ronald Reagan used violence and religion to win a political victory which has been of dubious value in any case.

The fact that he won is all that people seem to care about.

But the end does not justify the means.

He brought bullying back into world politics.

And we are still paying the price.

So the legacy of Ronald Reagan is only really lauded by capitalists and conservatives.

Ronald Reagan was a violent and sinister political Machiavel whose evil we are still experiencing in the world today.

Unconditional Love.

The love that comes with Aquarius is different from the personal love of Libra and the sensual love of Taurus.

It is universal, fraternal, and unconditional.

And as such it is more evolved.

It is both personally and spiritually mature.

It is less selfish than marriage.

And it is more altruistic than pleasure.

As the Age of Aquarius begins we will see more of this mature kind of love manifesting in our world.

The Third Man.

When we talk about conflict in our society we talk about the two factions - Liberalism (Uranus) and Conservatism (Saturn) - which rule the astrological sign of Aquarius.

But we must realize that there is a Third Man.

This is the influence of Satanism (Pluto) in our culture.

This is hidden in our popular culture - rock music, reality T.V., movies, and sports.....

This Third Man sows schism, lies, anger, violence, darkness, evil, and death.....

So whenever we address a conflict in our society we must take into account the activities of the Third Man.

Dark Side.

It would seem that many of the stars and celebrities in our world have a dark side.

By this I mean a fascination with darkness and evil.

This is sometimes represented by reptiles or insects.

This creepy dark side often has a strong sexual component.
And it may be this which drives them.

But God can remove these dark obsessions.

If we pray to God He will hear.

And He will answer our prayers for release.

Gay Church.

What is needed is a Gay Church.

A place where gay people can worship without harassment.

There is no reason why gay people should not worship God.

They are neither sinning nor are they a danger.

But Fundamentalist elements within Christianity and other religions will not allow anyone to do this.  They object and they attack.

So gay Christians are constantly under attack from both sides:

From rigid Fundamentalists and from anti-religious elements within the gay community itself.

We are caught between two extremes.

And, as usual, the answer lies somewhere in the middle.

Feminism.

When women were told not to sacrifice themselves for others the Feminist Movement took a sharp turn in the wrong direction.

Women henceforth put personal power, status. and money before their husbands and families.

This is putting the love of power before the power of love.

It is little wonder that they are all divorced.

Love leads us to the other.

And to sacrifice for the other.

This is the way of spiritual growth.

There is no other way.

The Evolution of the Heart.

A child has open and innocent love for his parents.

But this childlike love is soon lost.

The first stirrings of the heart take place in puberty when we experience love and desire for another.

If this love results in marriage we subsequently feel unselfish love for our children.

If our heart continues to evolve we will feel love for others who are not our kin.

This can evolve into love for everyone.

We love God, our partner, our children, our family, our friends, our colleagues, our neighbors, strangers, even our enemies.....

This is the mature love of Aquarius.

And it is manifesting in our world today.

Pop Psychology.

Pop psychology is not spirituality.

In fact pop psychology is not even Yoga or Buddhism.

So called New Age Gurus talk about meditation and motivation but they have not experienced self-realization or enlightenment.

It is all about success in the world and getting what you want out of life.

But this is not spirituality.

Selfish gain is not the purpose of life.

Life is about love.

Give love.

And you will be on your way home.

Eyes and Ears.

What we experience in a psychic and spiritual sense depends on what we see and hear.

If we constantly watch dark and violent videos and movies we may become dark and violent ourselves.

If we follow celebrities of dubious virtue we will be drawn into their influence and become selfish and egotistical like them.

If we listen constantly to rock music we will be tempted and corrupted by the negative influences which permeate rock music.

If we watch sports all the time we may become aggressive and belligerent like them.

Needless to say this is not the way to go.

Fixing our eyes and ears on spiritual things is called contemplation.

Contemplative practices include:
Listening to spiritual music - for example sacred choral music.
Reading scripture and commentaries on scripture.
Looking at icons or paintings with spiritual significance.

These practices will draw your mind into positive spiritual territory and be of great benefit.

You may even experience the Love of God.

So be mindful of what you watch and listen to.

It is extremely important for your spiritual growth.

Conspiracy.

We are in the grip of a huge Satanic conspiracy.

Hidden in our popular culture - our music, our T.V., our movies, our sports - is a coordinated network of Satanic stars and workers who are poisoning and corrupting everyone.

It stretches from music videos to energy drinks, from cooking shows to football, from wannabes to work.....

But, because it mostly works on the unconscious, it is not easily seen.

And it is deliberately covered up.

They will always have an alternative explanation ready to divert any suspicion.

But humanity is in denial.
We see these things but we cannot admit they are Satanic.

But because there is no devil does not mean that there are no devil worshipers.

Many more people believe in the devil and what he can do than we realize.

So be more discerning in your viewing and listening.

And pray to God to deliver you.

Compassion.

When considering issues surrounding sex we should always remember that sex is a form of love.

And as such sex should be respected as a part of life and not condemned.

Jesus never condemned sexual expression.
In fact he was known for eating with prostitutes and sinners.

Contrast this with the Neoplatonist writings of St. Paul which condemn the body (and sex) in favor of the spirit.

It is the influence of these writings which has been so damaging for the Church.

Most modern people think that they don't make sense and reject Christianity as a consequence.

But it is when compassion is placed above morality that we experience true spirituality.

And this applies particularly to sex,

Does God Hate Me?

"Does God hate me?"

The number of young gay people who ask this question is staggering.

The only message they hear about God is that He hates gay people.

This is as much an indictment of sensationalist mass media as it is of the Churches that preach this message of hate.

There are Churches that accept gay people and affirm their sexuality.
But unfortunately they never appear in the media and their message of acceptance is lost.

It is up to these more progressive Churches to make their voices heard in the mass media and on the Internet.

Unless we can get the message that God loves gay people as He loves others out there then all of those young gay people will be lost.

So speak up and contradict the voices of hate.

God loves gay people and we should say so.

Dates.

Have you noticed the number of t-shirts that have dates on them?

1966, 1973, 1984 etc.....

These are not random numbers.

They represent periods of culture and rock music which are influenced by certain bands and stars.

These bands and stars put out music which contained Satanic magic and backtracking.

So each era is under a certain spell which is based upon the negative interpretations of their generational astrological signs and planets.

And each spell is designed to lead its adherents by a different route to hell.

This is what has been done to us.

But rest assured there is no hell in  reality.

They still control you, however, if you wear their merchandise.

They want your mind and your money as well as your soul.

So don't allow yourself to be categorized.

Don't allow yourself to be led.

Rock culture is rife with Satanism.

It should be avoided as much as possible.

Beggars and Buggers.

When we pray we should remember those who are less advantaged than ourselves.

These are the beggars of our world - those who cannot support themselves and rely on the help of strangers.

We should also remember those who are despised and persecuted.

These are the buggers of our world - men who have sex with men - those who are put down and shunned, those who are the butt of jokes.

So when you pray do not forget the beggars and the buggers.

Our Humanity.

Nothing is more divisive in religion than our attitude to our humanity.

Progressive Christians search for the human Jesus.
We agree with Jack Spong when he says that we seek to become fully human.

But to Conservatives humanity is synonymous with sinfulness.
Humanity is basically bad and in need of rescue.

This indicates two opposing views of our humanity.

But rather than subscribing to one view or the other perhaps we can find some common ground.

Progressives may say that humans act of their own free will in ignorance and fear and it is this that creates sin rather than any inherent sinful nature.

Conservatives may say that we are subject to the Original Sin of Eve and Adam but ignore God's Original Blessing: "and indeed, it was very good." Genesis 1:31b (NRSV)

Either way humankind is not inherently sinful.

But at the same time our world is full of sin and evil.

My Father's Business.

Jesus said, "'I must be about my Father's business." (KJB)*

This saying is attributed to Jesus when he was presented in the temple as a child of 12.

He was sitting among the teachers and asking them questions.

I take this to mean that "my Father's business" is the study and interpretation of the scriptures.

We must be about our Father's business.

Tattoos and Graffiti.

The influence of modern Satanism can be seen in tattoos and graffiti.

Satanic symbols - flames, skulls, spider webs, dice, the devil himself - appear often but no one seems to know what it is.

These symbols also appear in music and on T.V. and in movies and literature.

But we deny that it is Satanism.

Modern humanity is in a state of denial.
We will not recognize what is happening.

There is no devil in reality so there can be no Satanists.

But there are, and they are famous people - rock stars and celebrities.

Open your eyes.

We have been betrayed.

Work (It) Out.

People ask me, "How do you know these things?"

I worked it out.

Starting from my own experience I worked out the source of the malice and violence which was affecting me.

Some of this had to do with AIDS and homophobia but there was more to it than that.

I found evil around me and from the most unlikely sources.

I concluded that this was coming from rock bands and people close to them in the arts elite.

So do not put down thinking about what is happening to you and around you.

You might just work it out.

Reconciling Sex.

How do I reconcile my sexuality with my spirituality?

Sex is Love.

Spirituality is Love.

Bad Words.

Each generation has been cursed with certain words which are designed to corrupt us:

Bad.
Pure evil.
Daredevils.
Transgression.
Hate.
Sin.
Filthy.
Killer.
Wicked.
Rogue.
Monster.
Beast.
Wolf.
Vampire.
Villain.
Despicable.
Dark.
Night.

This has been done deliberately to gradually corrupt successive generations until evil becomes our second nature.

So be more aware of what you are hearing.

It may just be evil.

Mercy.

The miracle stories that we read in the Bible are not demonstrations of power or authority.

They are ultimately manifestations of God's mercy.

God knows our suffering and responds with mercy.

"Then the Lord said, 'I have observed the misery of my people who are in Egypt; I have heard their cry on account of their taskmasters.  Indeed, I know their suffering, and I have come down to deliver them from the Egyptians, and to bring them out of the land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey.'"  Exodus 3: 7,8 (NRSV)

So cry out to God!

He will show you mercy.

Grace.

We assume that God's blessings are bestowed on those who earn them in some way: by good works, or piety, or faith.....

But in the end we are blessed by Grace.

None of us can earn God's blessing.

None of us can say, "I deserve it."

All of us make mistakes.

And all of us err in our understanding.

And perhaps it is meant to be like this.

We are all under Grace.
