Quite contrary to the fundamentalist view that God hates fags, which we see emblazoned across their signs and billboards, God loves and supports gay men and women as a persecuted minority.
The fact that the people persecuting gays and lesbians are members of Churches is irrelevant. The Churches have been wrong before: Nicea, the Crusades, the Inquisition, slavery, Nazi Germany, and now same-sex oriented people, the list goes on.....
In fact more crimes have been committed in the name of God than in any other name.
Perhaps if they looked more closely at Islamic jihad they might see themselves. But perhaps not.
God loves gay and lesbian people.
He accepts us at His table.
We are welcome in Heaven.
And we partake of Eternal Life.
